Finding the Right Odoo Talent for Iris Galerie’s International Expansion

Iris Galerie offers a unique artistic experience that reveals the beauty of people’s eyes through an innovative macro photography process. The company allows customers to discover their eyes in a completely new way and preserve them through a wide range of artistic formats and finishes. 

Combining technology, creativity, and a personalized customer experience, Iris Galerie has created a unique concept that appeals to individuals, couples, and families worldwide. Following rapid growth, the company expanded its international presence, opening more than 50 galleries within just one year and continuing its global expansion across multiple markets.

The Challenge:

As Iris Galerie continued to scale its operations internationally, the company needed to strengthen its technology team with professionals who could support the development and optimization of internal systems. The main recruitment challenge was finding an Odoo Developer (Python) who could help teams across Europe with daily Odoo usage while contributing to the ongoing development of the ERP environment. 

The ideal candidate needed to combine technical knowledge with an understanding of business processes and the ability to collaborate with various departments, including retail operations, logistics, HR, and finance. 

Key requirements included: 

• Experience with Python development and strong programming fundamentals.  
• Knowledge of Odoo or exposure to Odoo projects.  
• Familiarity with Git, Linux command line, and relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL).  
• Basic knowledge of HTML, XML, and JavaScript.  
• Understanding of business processes such as Sales, Inventory, HR, and Supply Chain.  
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with international teams.  
• Fluent English and Polish.  

Additionally, Iris Galerie was looking for a Data Engineer to support the development and maintenance of its internal data infrastructure. This role required experience with Python, SQL, Excel, Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, and ERP systems, as well as strong analytical thinking and the ability to work closely with business teams.
