Scaling Glovo’s Tech Team and Establishing a Strong Local Presence in Poland

Glovo is a pioneering multi-category on-demand app connecting users with local restaurants, grocers, retailers, and couriers. Founded in 2015 in Barcelona, Glovo operates in 22 countries across Europe, Central Asia, and Africa. Its vision is to give everyone easy access to everything within their city, allowing users to enjoy what they want, when they want, where they want. As part of its expansion in Poland, Glovo partnered with dotLinkers to scale its team and establish a strong local presence.

The Challenge:

When the project started in October 2019, Glovo was largely unknown in Poland, with very limited information about its local office and operations. The company needed to quickly hire high-quality talent while ensuring alignment with Glovo’s culture and standards. Beyond recruitment, there was a need for support with onboarding, contract management, and overall local office setup.

What we did

dotLinkers was chosen as one of Glovo’s two local recruitment partners in Poland, providing an RPO model with two dedicated Senior IT recruiters fully embedded under the Glovo brand, supported by the broader dotLinkers recruitment team.
Key activities included:

• Two recruiters spent two weeks at Glovo HQ in Barcelona to immerse in company culture and processes.
• End-to-end recruitment support: sourcing, screening, shortlisting, and interview coordination.
• Active participation in onboarding and local office setup, including contract management for Polish employees.
• Coordination with Glovo to ensure a seamless candidate experience and high-quality hires.

Results:

Thanks to dotLinkers’ efforts, Glovo successfully scaled its Polish team, becoming fully established in the local market.
Recruitment metrics:

• 1,454 candidates sourced and screened by dotLinkers
• 1,018 candidates shortlisted and sent to Glovo
• 974 candidates invited for interviews (95% success rate)
• 110 offers extended
• 79 hires

dotLinkers won against the other recruitment agency and became Glovo’s exclusive recruitment partner, with the contract extended for an ongoing period. Glovo reviewed dotLinkers’ performance very positively, noting the agency’s active role not only in recruitment but also in onboarding and local office setup.
