Building a High-Performing R&D Hub for Splunk in Krakow

The Challenge:

Splunk aimed to rapidly expand its R&D center in Krakow by 100 engineers in 2023. Despite having an internal recruitment team, the company faced challenges in scaling quickly while ensuring high-quality hires across diverse technical roles and seniority levels. They needed an experienced recruitment partner to accelerate hiring, optimize processes, and manage onboarding effectively. The dotLinkers team of recruiters joined Splunk onsite and immediately took charge of coordinating the onboarding procedure. This included meetings with Hiring Managers, in-depth briefing sessions to understand expectations, and defining, advising on, and optimizing the recruitment processes. After just two weeks of preparation, the active sourcing campaign was launched to start attracting top talent.

What we did

dotLinkers provided a dedicated team of 6 professionals (1 Project Manager + 5 IT recruiters) embedded onsite under the Splunk brand. Coordinated onboarding of recruiters, including briefings with Hiring Managers and optimization of recruitment processes. Launched an active sourcing campaign within two weeks, targeting a wide range of technical roles including Python, Golang, Java, Frontend, Full-stack, DevOps, and SRE, across Junior to Senior and Managerial levels. Managed the full RPO process, from sourcing and screening candidates to scheduling interviews and supporting offer negotiations.

Results:

• 3,192 candidates sourced and screened.
• 2,873 candidates shortlisted and sent to Splunk.
• 2,730 candidates invited for interviews (95% success rate).
• 253 job offers extended, with 233 hires successfully onboarded.
• Within 6 months, 78 specialists joined the Krakow R&D center.
• The collaboration was extended at the time, establishing dotLinkers as Splunk’s exclusive recruitment partner in Poland during that expansion period.
