About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Senior System Administrator with strong expertise in Jira and Jira Service Management. This is a strategic role, focused on designing, implementing, and improving systems and processes that enhance security, efficiency, and productivity. You will be the go-to expert for our cloud-native stack (Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Jira, Jamf, AWS) and thrive on automation, problem-solving, and building scalable IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Design and drive the IT infrastructure roadmap, including governance, identity, security, and access processes.
- Lead administration of core SaaS/IaaS platforms (Okta, Google Workspace, Jamf, Slack, Atlassian) and automate workflows with scripting.
- Ensure security best practices, manage endpoints, and monitor cloud performance and compliance.
- Provide reliable systems, senior-level support, documentation, and oversee the IT service desk.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver technology solutions aligned with business needs.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years as a Systems Administrator in cloud-first environments.
- Self-starter with strong ownership; able to turn broad goals into execution without close supervision.
- Expertise in IAM, with hands-on Okta administration.
- Experience managing Google Workspace and Jamf for Apple device management.
- Skilled in Atlassian tools (Jira, JSM, Confluence), designing efficient workflows and automations.
- Strong scripting/automation background (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Solid grasp of IT security, networking basics, and AWS.
- Clear communicator, able to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
