About you:
You’re an experienced Engineering Manager with a passion for leading and coaching engineers to do their best work. You are customer-focused and you thrive when working in tandem with your Product Manager to execute your team’s quarterly product roadmap, balancing new feature development and engineering-focused efforts. You expect top quality from your engineering team and provide your team with the tools and guidance they need to succeed. You have worked in a startup or high-growth company and have shipped B2B products into production. You know how to work cross-functionally to meet the needs of multiple stakeholders, and you have a track record of success.
Your tasks:
- Hiring, developing, managing, and retaining an inclusive, engaged, and high-performing team of up to 8 world-class engineers (to start!)
- The opportunity to build and lead our client’s Poland office and team from the ground up
- Working alongside the team’s Product Manager to establish quarterly goals and execute the product roadmap to delight our customers
- Building relationships across departments to help guide engineering priorities, gather feedback, and foster teamwork
- Collaborating with engineers of varying levels to drive technical strategy
- Setting and maintaining a high standard for quality of work
Our requirements:
- 2+ years of experience managing a product engineering team
- 5 years of hands-on technical experience
- You exhibit strong skills in areas including leadership, architecting software solutions, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and teamwork
- You advocate for your team while working in conjunction with your Product counterpart to ensure the delivery of the product roadmap
- You have a strong customer-first mindset
